Riomaggiore, Cinque Terre, Italy

Untitled
The next town we visited was Riomaggiore. The train drops you off at one end of town (seen here) and you walk along a nice walkway to the main part of town.

Mortis et Orationis Chapel

Untitled
This chapel is quite interesting and unusual. It is adorned with skeletons and belongs to a society whose mission has been to care for poor widows and orphans and to see that funeral arrangements are made with special emphasis on the shipwrecked and fisherman.

Monterosso, Cinque Terre, Italy

Untitled
The first town we visited was Monterosso. This one had the nicest beach area. We stopped for lunch along the beach and then headed up to one end of town where you can see this giant sculpture.

Cinque Terre, Italy

Untitled
After leaving Zermatt last Fall, we headed down to Italy and the Cinque Terre. Late October is a risky time to go as it could be raining, but we lucked out and had beautiful weather the whole time (even though the Italians kept insisting it was Winter).
